What we say....
We are a Church of England Comprehensive school for girls. Our school motto is also our mission statement “Heirs of the Past, Children of the Present, Makers of the Future”. There are over 750 pupils in our school, including a sixth form. Although we are a Christian school we also take students from other faiths and of no faith. The school is friendly, welcoming, caring and challenging. We became a Specialist Science School, which means we are recognised within our own and the wider community as a Science School.

There is an outstanding range of extra curricular activities, for example a dance club, an engineering club and drama workshops. We are able to take advantage of many of the events and opportunities from being so close to the South Bank in London. A wide range of visits take place at home and abroad; for example, Outward Bound trips in Wales, language and cross curricular trips to France, Spain, Germany, China, and our staff have been to South Africa, Canada, Australia, the USA and Malaysia.

We are fortunate in many ways and this is because all members of staff and students work hard and together towards making it a successful school.

What you say ....

I find that school is a place of enjoyment and learning at the same time. Even though things can be difficult, it’s interesting to learn new things and find that even outside of school they’re still useful. I do several different things in school, including taking in part in musical events and I used to learn Latin as well. Our school has offered me so many different opportunities and I am sure that I am not the only person who feels this way.
