Escola Carandá

The Escola Carandá was founded 30 years ago. The ideals of Humanism and the pedagogic principles of Jean Piaget’s construtivism formed the bases of our educational work.

Escola Carandá has almost 500 students, devided in the following courses:

- Educação Infantil – children from 2 to 5 years old.

- Ensino Fundamental I – children from 6 to 10 years old.

- Ensino fundamental II – Children and teenagers, from 11 to 14 years old.

- Ensino Médio - teenagers from 15 to 17 years old.

We are in São Paulo, the largest city in Brazil and the largest city in South America.

Million inhabitants live in this city nowadays, what brings numerous traffic, transportation, dwelling, public health and education and pollution, of course. But we face them as challenges to be fought and won. People who live here work a lot and like to leave town whenever is possible, in weekends and vacations, but they love to live here for the cultural and financial possibilities.

The city of São Paulo is the capital of the State of São Paulo, in the southeast of Brazil.

Brazil is the largest country in South America

It’s located in the East of that continent.
