No.2 Secondary School attached to TongJi University is a public school, which is the result of the cooperation between TongJi University and Putuo District. The school was rebuilt in June,2002. Situated in the lively Changshou Community, it covers an area of 58 acres with two schools in the south and in the north.
For five years, under the care of TongJi University, Putuo District government, and the Putuo Education Bureau, with the guidance of a strategic plan for high quality educational resources, we are trying to accomplish our goal that "science and technology together with the humanities will develop harmoniously”. That is to say, our school features a campus with focuses on humanities and information Technology. We have made much progress in teachers’ development and we are trying to promote international educational exchanges.
For five years, the school has won many titles from the district and the urban-class over 20 honors, and lots of praise from parents and students, for over 80 percent of our students were admitted by universities and colleges for higher education each year. This year our school was named a key school in the district by the education authorities, which is another top honor. In addition, the school has established close ties with Hengjiang Middle School in Jiangxi Province, Cixiu Middle School in Taiwan, Buzibaha Secondary School in Germany, Kings College in Britain and the Technological Institute of Monterrey High School.
