Polluted Rivers

The "Polluted Rivers" theme encourages students to research efforts to keep their river-water clean, drinking water, sewerage, pollution and how these issues have changed over time. Rivers that have been 'lost' or covered over are also included under this theme.

The artwork below is from Rivers of the World 2007. The featured rivers (and partnered cities) were:
- River Thames (London, UK)
- Yangtze River (Chongqing, China)
- River Hooghly (Kolkata, India)
- River Liesbeek (Cape Town, South Africa)
- River Nile (Cairo, Egypt)
